Clinical Pathways for Cancer Pain Management
P.A.I.N. 8 - Workshop (Pain Associates' International Network)

EXPERT MEETING

Hotel Hilton Brussels
Brussels, June 8 - 11, 2006

"The Relief of Pain should be a Human Right"
Global Day against Pain, Geneva, October 2004

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

We are pleased and honoured to welcome you to the P.A.I.N. 8 Workshop in Brussels (Pain Associates' International Network).

The aim of the P.A.I.N. 8 Workshop is to bring together a multidisciplinary team of international experts in cancer pain management and to develop together one explicit and well defined clinical pathway for cancer pain management.

The pathway should provide detailed guidance for each stage in the pain management of a cancer patient focussing on quality and co-ordination of care. With these results it should be possible to improve pain treatment in cancer patient in daily practice.

We are looking forward to meeting you at the workshop and to learning from your personal experience. We hope that the workshop will be another small step towards our vision of a world with a little less pain.

Kind regards,

Dr. Gabriel Yihune
